Reliability and Redundancy
For mission-critical applications, uptime is key. 724’s entire infrastructure has been built from the ground up to provide redundancy and maximum reliability. 724 uses only the pioneer technology companies, IBM and VMware which have proven time and time again their expertise and reliability.
Most other providers typically use Dell hardware and Microsoft's Hyper-V. Dell is good. Pioneer, IBM is better for reliability and support. Microsoft Hyper-V is new to the market and cannot match the preformance, scalability and reliability of VMware.
All 724 equipment is supported by uninterruptible power supplies, power generator, air-conditioning and fire prevention systems. 724's top of the line IBM blade server systems and storage arrays are fully redundant from any single point of failure. In addition, VMware's reliable management tools allow every component of our entire architecture to operate in redundant mode with failover to secondary servers. 724 is proud to have one of the most secure and reliable infrustructures.
Security
724’s network security is provided by a series of Firewalls, routers, and Intrusion Prevention Filters to track, monitor and protect the network. Furthermore, 724 is one of the only SharePoint and Exchange providers who protect its network using Top Layer intrusion prevention system (IPS). By combining stateful firewall, content-based IPS/IDS, and attack mitigation algorithms, the 724 IPS provides Three Dimensional Protection (3DP) against undesired access, malicious content, and rate-based attacks from hackers or other malicious activities. 724's entire network infrustructure is certified PCI compliant.
